On a difficult night for members of the North Allegheny community, late heroics from Luke Rohan and a defensive stand lifted the Tigers to victory.

Two buses carrying North Allegheny band and staff members were involved in an accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike that resulted in six students and two adults being transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. North Allegheny’s football team had already arrived at Norwin, where Friday night’s game was played as scheduled.

Class 6A No. 1-ranked North Allegheny (5-0, 2-0) earned a tightly contested win against No. 3-ranked Norwin (3-2, 1-1) in a Quad-County Conference matchup.
