DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG) - Governor Reynolds issued a proclamation to temporarily increase weight limits for vehicles transporting agricultural products, including grain, fertilizer, and manure.
The 2025 Harvest Proclamation allows vehicles carrying specific products, such as grain and fertilizer, to be overweight, up to 90,000 pounds, without a permit.
It applies to vehicles transporting corn, soybeans, hay, silage, straw, stover, fertilizer (dry, liquid, and gas), and manure (dry and liquid).
The proclamation is valid on all highways in Iowa, excluding the interstate system.
Governor Reynold says the proclamation is effective immediately and expires on October 18, 2025.
