JESUP, Iowa (KCRG) - It’s homecoming week in Jesup and a crucial part of student tradition, ‘TP-ing’, is under scrutiny.
Wednesday the Jesup police department posted it now has a zero tolerance policy towards TP-ing, and people who TP could be subject to fines and community service.
“If it wasn’t banned, I’d probably be going out tonight,” said Matt Gross.
Gross is the high school’s wrestling coach and because of that he’s got a target on his back. He said the TP-ing doesn’t bother him even though he’s been a repeat victim.
“Two years ago I caught some of the kids doing it and they were having a blast with it, and I took those TP rolls and went to the coach’s house cause his daughter was TP-ing me, and I said I’m gonna TP him with the same TP rolls I got TP’s with,” Gross said.
