Two Arrested After Woman and Dog Fatally Shot in Santa Rosa Home
The community of Santa Rosa, California, is reeling after a violent home invasion on Cecilia Drive claimed the lives of a 47-year-old woman and her dog. Police say two suspects have been arrested in connection with the killings, though the motive behind the crime remains unclear.
Officers responded to the residence last week after receiving reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, they found the back gate open and a sliding glass door shattered. Inside the home, the woman and one of her dogs had been fatally shot. A second dog was also injured but survived and has since received medical treatment.
