Project Jupiter was described multiple times as a “generational opportunity” during a seven-hour Doña Ana County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Sept. 19.
The county passed a pair of ordinances to support an infrastructure campus in the Santa Teresa Industrial Park, dubbed Project Jupiter that will house a data center. One ordinance approved the issuance of $165 billion in proposed industrial revenue bonds over a 30-year period and the second ordinance approved a Local Economic Development Act agreement that would allocate a portion of gross receipt tax toward the project and Austin-based developers BorderPlex Digital Assets and STACK Contruction.
