MORRISTOWN – The Jets are soaring again as the regular season has reached its midpoint.

Union Local opened the campaign with a decisive win over powerhouse Warren JFK. That impressive triumph was followed by successive and close setbacks to Wheeling Central and Indian Creek, both of which boast strong squads.

Coach Bernie Thompson’s Jets, however, resumed upward flight a week ago with a 28-3 victory over rival Harrison Central. Union Local kept the throttle down Friday night by making it two straight lopsided wins via a 35-0 whitewashing of Vincent Warren Local.

The now 3-2 Jets return to action Friday, hosting a solid Beaver Local outfit.
