The southwest monsoon is gradually retreating from northern parts of the country, while several weather systems developing over the Bay of Bengal and central India are set to bring scattered rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds across many regions. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), eastern, central, and southern states are likely to see spells of moderate showers with isolated heavy rainfall, even as Delhi-NCR and parts of northwest India remain mostly clear with brief rain chances.
