A man from Cambridgeshire and his brother have been sentenced following a series of burglaries in Essex and Kent, where they stole thousands of pounds worth of jewellery. The men were arrested in March last year following a police pursuit after a member of the public reported seeing three men in balaclavas fleeing a house in Rayleigh.

The pair pleaded guilty and were sentenced at Basildon Crown Court on Tuesday, September 16. John Lowe, 25, of Lower Road, Hockley, had previously pleaded guilty to seven counts of burglary and one count of driving while disqualified.
