The 2025 season has been a strange one for the defining women’s player of the 2020s, Iga Swiatek. For the first time since her emergence, she failed to capture a title on her favored red clay, and on paper she enters the post–US Open stretch with her lowest win percentage and fewest titles since 2021.
Yet despite that, it has still been an excellent Grand Slam season. Swiatek reached the semifinals at three Majors and overcame two of her biggest historical hurdles: winning on the slick hard courts of Cincinnati and conquering the grass at Wimbledon. With the year-end #1 ranking still within reach for the Pole, her motivation will surely remain strong ever heading into the final stretch of the season.
