The Joy of Art was on display in Lansdowne on Thursday evening.

Utility Works , Lansdowne’s 7,500 square foot art studio and makers space, was the anchor for Lansdowne’s Open Studio, a celebration of art, music, and culture fair.

Located at 32 East Baltimore Ave., Utility Works is home to 23 artist studios, a hot-desk co-working area, a Maker Space classroom, a ceramic studio, an art gallery, and a juice bar.

Clare Finin, executive director of Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation , which runs the center, said there are a lot of artists who call the borough home.

The organization rents the building with funding provided through grants, including major support from the borough and supporters’ donations.
