The Norfolk Chapel in Karrakatta Cemetery has reopened to the public after a woman allegedly lit it on fire in a string of arson attacks last year.
The chapel at WA’s biggest cemetery had been closed for nearly a year after a fire in the chapel on October 1, causing an estimated $1 million in damages.
Tianna Addison Diodato Day was accused over the attack.
It was later alleged that the 28-year-old had also set fire to a shed at Lakes Lawn Cemetery in Parklands, northeast of Mandurah, just days prior.
She has pleaded guilty to four charges. She is next scheduled to appear in court on October 10 to set a date for her sentencing.
The chapel was re-opened on September 12 and services resumed on September 15.
