TYLER, Texas (KETK) - Many local women, youths and community members gathered together for the East Texas Women's March and Expo in Tyler on Saturday.
The event was hosted by the Northeast Texas National Organization for Women (NETNOW) at the W.T. Brookshire Center in Tyler as a way to celebrate local women leaders. Along with speeches on issues impacting women, the event also featured women-owned businesses and provided access to veterans resources, mental health support and more.
"East Texas has a powerful story to tell," president of NETNOW Nancy Nichols said. "This march and expo will highlight the strength of women, families and communities coming together for equality, justice and change."
