WASHINGTON — Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was honored Sunday at a memorial service in Arizona that drew in massive crowds. President Donald Trump and prominent members of his “Make America Great Again” movement attended and spoke to remember him.
It's not yet known exactly where Kirk, whom Trump credits with playing a pivotal role in his 2024 election victory, will be buried.
Arizona is the adopted home state of Kirk, who grew up outside Chicago and founded Turning Point there before moving the organization to Phoenix.
Turning Point USA has yet to publicly announce where Kirk will be laid to rest.
Vice President JD Vance, who said Kirk's advocacy was a big reason Trump picked him to serve as vice president, transported Kirk’s casket from Utah to Arizona aboard Air Force Two
