PITTSBURGH —

A man is recovering from surgery after officials say he was shot during a believed altercation at a Pittsburgh nightclub Sunday morning.

Pittsburgh Police said just before 2:30 a.m., a 27-year-old man arrived at Magee-Women's Hospital by private vehicle with a single gunshot wound to the hip.

He was then taken to another local hospital and was immediately taken into surgery.

He was last reported to be in stable condition.

Witnesses, according to officials, said the man was shot during an altercation that took place at a nightclub in the 800 block of Brookline Boulevard in the city’s Brookline neighborhood.

As of Sunday afternoon, there have been no updates on whether a suspect was taken into custody.
