SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) - A vehicle ran into a Rapid City Police Precinct around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

The Rapid City Police Department posted photos of the damage on Facebook, saying the vehicle struck their southwest precinct at the corner of Catron Boulevard and Sheridan Lake Road.

RCPD says based on video surveillance and initial crash investigation, a 2002 GMC Yukon was southbound on Sheridan Lake Road and tried turning east onto Catron Boulevard, when the vehicle struck the median on Sheridan Lake Road.

The vehicle lost control and went into oncoming traffic lanes, circled north, went over a curb and down a small embankment before hitting the building.
