Without a doubt the Peak District is a beautiful place to visit during the autumn months. Of course it’s a delight at any time of the year; like any national park in the UK it’s just as charming on a crisp winter’s day as it is at the height of the summer.

Yet it’s during the autumn that it really becomes magical. Trees transform as their leaves take on orange and brown hues, injecting a burst of colour into the landscape, valleys fill with mists on chilly October mornings and village pubs suddenly become cosy sanctuaries as the nights draw in.
