With the summer weather still going strong, thousands of people made their way downtown for Chatham-Kent Crowfest this weekend.
The fourth-annual event, which kicked off last week, featured numerous buskers and other activities, as well as the Flying Fools, a high-diving act from Montreal, who dropped from heights of up to 25 metres into a small pool outside the Downtown Chatham Centre.
“It’s fantastic that we’re able to provide an event that’s free to the public,” said Mayor Darrin Canniff, event co-chair. “We’re looking forward to growing this. It’s great to see so many people out enjoying themselves with smiles on their faces.”
Entegrus, Waste Connections of Canada, Abstract Marketing and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent were the lead sponsors this year.
