LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Following a statement victory at Utah Saturday, Texas Tech climbed to 14th on the USA Today Coaches Poll , up two slots from last week.

Tech’s 34-10 win over the Utes is the program’s first victory in a match-up of teams ranked in the top 25 since 2008.

The AP Poll will be out a little later this afternoon.

Tech is off next weekend, followed by a trip to Houston Oct. 4.
