Strictly Come Dancing's Vito Coppola has revealed the ‘promise’ that he’s made to Ellie Goldstein, calling her his ‘little sister’.

Ellie, 23, is making history competing on the 23rd season of Strictly , becoming the first person with Down syndrome to do so.

Beginning her modelling career when she was just 15 years old, Ellie has gone on to work on campaigns with Nike, Vodafone and Superdrug.

In 2023 she made history as the first model with Down syndrome to grace the cover of British Vogue, having also appeared on the covers of Glamour, Elle, Mission Mag and Euphoria magazines.

The model and actress was among the 15 stars who competed on the pre-recorded launch show, which aired on BBC One on Saturday night (September 20).
