On Saturday evening, Sept. 20, beer lovers gathered in Downtown Monroe for the sixth annual Downtown Monroe Craft Beer Fest.
"It's lots of fun here along the river raisin," said the city's recreation and special events coordinator Amy Mason, who happened to be attending. "It's a great community event, so we're excited."
The fest included live music from the band Two Trick Pony, food from two different trucks, and 11 breweries to pick samples from.
"It's awesome," said attendee Christian Turner, who was attending for the first time. "So many different types of beers, so many different flavors, only 40 bucks, 12 tastings, man, it's a good time."
"I'm a really big fan of Michigan craft beer and I live really close by and it was just something fun to do on a weekend," said attendee Jordan
