Stephen King gets more movie deals than any other author in the world, and, in most cases, he prefers to simply sell the rights to his work and wait to see how events will unfold on the screen. Will the screenwriters and directors tweak too much? He’s always ready to rant if they do. Will they keep the events faithful to the source material or even make them better, as was the case with The Mist? He’ll praise them if they do. As a proper cinephile, King has always been opinionated about adaptations of his work and movies in general.
