Californians are now seeing the battle over redistricting playing out on TV, as more than $75 million has been raised by both sides to fund ads and campaigns.

In a November special election, voters will decide the fate of Proposition 50. It asks voters to suspend the congressional district maps created by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission for the next three congressional elections, and instead use maps drawn by Democratic lawmakers that are designed to flip five Republican seats.
