SMYRNA, Tenn. (WSMV) - Smyrna fire officials are investigating after a home’s attached garage ignited on Sunday afternoon, according to the Smyrna Fire Department.

SFD said crews responded to a home in the 500 block of Liberty Drive for reports of a structure fire on Sunday afternoon.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the home’s attached garage.

The family, who lives in the home, was able to escape without injury.

SFD said no firefighters were injured in the incident either.
