The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the New England Patriots 21-14, picking up their first win in Foxborough in 17 years. A large reason why the Steelers escaped with a win was the five turnovers their defense forced. Pittsburgh had four fumble recoveries, one of which came from the newest Steeler, Jabrill Peppers.

The former Patriot recovered the third fumble of the day, which was forced by T.J. Watt on running back Antonio Gibson. Peppers also had six tackles on the day. For his efforts against his former team, he was given a game ball.

“I needed this one,” Peppers said via Nick Farabaugh.

Peppers was surprisingly released by the Patriots ahead of the regular season after spending the previous three seasons as a starter in New England. It’s obvious why this one meant a bit more to No. 40
