SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man died after he was found unresponsive while swimming at Siesta Key Beach on Sunday.
According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, at 2:21 p.m., deputies and EMS personnel responded to 514 Beach Road after an unresponsive male swimmer was pulled from the Gulf by a nearby civilian.
First responders attempted life-saving efforts but were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident and working to identify the man.
