Erika Kirk , the widow of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk , proclaimed that her husband was "ready to die" while speaking at his memorial service at State Farm Stadium on Sunday (September 21).

"There was nothing he was putting off," Erika explained.

"There was nothing that was too hard or too painful. ... Charlie died with incomplete work, but nothing that was unfinished business," she added to a loud applause from the crowd.

Erika, who was announced as the next CEO of Turning Point USA, the organization co-founded by Kirk, following her husband's death, also said her husband "wanted to save young men -- just like the one who took his life."

"I forgive him," she added of her husband's killer.
