LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — On Sunday, state police told Newswatch 16 that the search for 40-year-old Ryan McDermott of Sweet Valley has expanded in Luzerne County .

The new area encompasses a larger area of the back mountain, stretching as far as Harvey's Lake and Huntington Township. That's roughly a 10-mile radius bigger than the original Sweet Valley-Ross township search area.

McDermott is described as five feet nine with blue eyes, red hair, and a tattoo on his forearm.

Troopers say they've been looking for McDermott of Sweet Valley since Thursday.

State police ask you to call their tip line if you have any information on McDermott's whereabouts.
