A 17-year-old girl was shot, and a man was stabbed — at the same time and around the corner from each other — in unrelated Manhattan attacks, police said Sunday afternoon.
The teen was blasted in the left shoulder at 5:01 p.m. near E. 27th St. and Park Ave., cops said. Separately, at 5 p.m., a 24-year-old man was stabbed in the right buttocks just around the corner on E. 28th St. and Madison Ave., according to police.
EMS transported both victims to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. Both are expected to recover.
A person of interest was in custody in connection with the shooting — described as a 35-year-old Bronx man with 20 prior arrests, including seven for felonies — a police source told the Daily News. Further information about the shooting was not immediately available.
