ESPAÑOLA, N.M. —

A sandhill crane that came to the New Mexico Wildlife Center this summer is helping to educate visitors about protecting those bird, their habitats and their flyways.

Now all it needs is a name.

The center has chosen three names to choose from: Dancer, Painter and Echo. To vote, go to NMWC's Facebook page before voting closes on Friday morning, Sept. 26.

The crane is the latest in a series of Ambassador Animals, which donors can adopt and receive a certificate of adoption, a 5″x7″ color photo, the animal’s unique story and species facts, and a ticket for a free admission to NMWC.

More information about NMWC is available online at newmexicowildlifecenter.org or by calling 505-753-9505.
