ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - SOOFA Ranch in Winston, Georgia, serves some hundreds of underprivileged kids in the metro area in addition to veterans and many other people who need to heal.
They use horses to foster connection, peace and positivity. But due to funding cuts, that’ll soon be no more.
“If SOOFA Ranch closes, it is not just horses that will be lost. It is the children who will not find their voice, the veterans who will not rediscover their strength, and the families who will not find a safe space to heal,” the ranch released in a statement.
Daryl Fletcher, the ranch’s founder, says they need to raise $600,000 by Oct. 3 to avoid foreclosure.
