Man hit in head with baseball bat in apparent homophobic attack in Mattapan

WCVB reports a gay couple taunted while walking on River Street near Edgewater Drive in Mattapan came under attack by some men, one of them with a baseball bat, which he used on the back of the head of one member of the couple, around 7:45 p.m. on Sept. 13.

Police found that man, bleeding from the back of his head, in a parking lot.
