YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A Cardinal Mooney High School student is recovering after being shot following a football game Saturday against Chardon at Youngstown State University Stadium.
Cardinal Mooney Principal Brendan Considine released a statement on social media saying the student was in a hospital in stable condition. No other information about the student was released.
“The student’s family thanks you for your continued prayers for a full and speedy recovery,” Considine says in the statement. “At Cardinal Mooney, we place the safety and security of our students as the highest priority. We join everyone involved in expressing our prayers for healing for our entire school family and community.”
