A -4C “polar plunge” is set to bring autumn snow and frosts to Britain , warn weather experts.
Despite sunny skies over much of the UK this week, temperatures will plummet to 12C in a five-day chill from today.
Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna said: “Brrrr – polar air is on the way.”
Frost is set to hit the North this week with lows of -4C due, and the South seeing temperatures hovering just above 0C.
