Mostly dry and calm conditions have been in place across New Mexico today. A few isolated storms have slowly been building near the New Mexico, Arizona state line this evening. These storms will continue to build in through this evening and into the early morning hours of Monday.

Another surge of moisture will move into New Mexico from the west on Monday. This will bring a chance for isolated to scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms in western, central, and northern New Mexico. Monsoon flow, combined with a backdoor cold front, will keep rain and storm chances around parts of New Mexico every afternoon next week. The front and moisture will bring high temperatures back down to around average again next week, with cooler than average highs in eastern New Mexico.
