Why Giants sub in Jaxson Dart for Russell Wilson on some QB plays

The New York Giants aren't ready to turn the whole offense over to rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart yet.

But they've taken on one college offensive tendency to try to make it work out for everyone involved.

Occasionally, the Giants will remove Russell Wilson from the game for Dart.

Dart then lines up in the shotgun, and in the early going of the season, every time Dart has come in, the Giants have run the football.

He's a promising runner with the ball, yes, but he can also throw it. It could just be to set up a play-action pass at some point.
