South Dakota's two junior teams in the North American Hockey League, the Watertown Shamrocks and Aberdeen Wings, are set to renew their budding rivalry in a two-game, home-away set to kick off the 2025-26 season.
The opener comes Sept. 19 when the Shamrocks, a second-year team in the NAHL's Central Division, visit the Wings, beginning their 16th season in the league, at 7:15 p.m. in the Odde Ice Center at Aberdeen. The two teams square off at 7 p.m. on Sept. 20 in the Prairie Lakes Ice Center in Watertown.
The two games are the first of many for the two South Dakota teams in a NAHL regular season that continues into April of 2026.
