INDEPENDENCE, Ky. —

A suspect and a woman are dead and at least one other person is injured after a shooting in Independence overnight.

According to Independence police, officials were called to the area around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. K-9 units and drones were deployed upon arrival.

Between 1:20 and 1:30 a.m. Monday, shots were heard in the area. SWAT was then called to the scene.
