A police officer dived for cover as gym weights were thrown from a third-floor window on to the street.
Gary Clark, who was armed with a knife, had threatened to shoot officers if they tried to get into his Motherwell flat.
The 37-year-old appeared from custody at Hamilton Sheriff Court. He admitted threatening or abusive behaviour as well as culpable and reckless conduct in Mellor Place on August 19.
Clark was already on two bail orders at the time of the offences.
Police officers turned up around 2pm after an anonymous call about a domestic disturbance.
They heard a male voice inside the flat shouting ‘You’re a grass’ and ‘I’m going to do you’.
Daniel Toner, prosecuting, told the court: “The officers knocked on the door but the accused reacted angrily, s
