The Iowa high school volleyball season featured multiple tournaments with standout performances last week.

Ankeny Centennial secures a pair of Class 5A wins

The Jaguars notched wins against two CIML opponents last week. On Sept. 16, they swept Dowling Catholic in three sets (25-14, 28-26, 25-20). The senior duo of Tatem Schmidt and Mady Ott led the striking attack with 10 kills each against the Maroons. Schmidt and Maegan Cheeseman combined for 33 of the team’s 37 assists. Senior Mya Lei-Butters also led the way with 19 digs while Cheeseman, Ott and Sidney Rogers all tallied four blocks each. Looking for a free mini puzzle?
