The Central Government has cleared a major hurdle in the construction of the Dahisar-Bhayander Link Road (DBLR) by handing over 53.71 acres of salt pan land to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation ( BMC ) on a 99-year lease. This land is worth INR 12.9 crore.

Once completed, this road will significantly reduce travel time between Nariman Point and Mira-Bhayander
The land was transferred at a cost of INR 12.9 crore on a 99-year lease, as per a notification issued earlier this year by the Salt Commissioner (under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry)
