SANDUSKY, MI — McKenzie Health System will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at noon in Sanilac County.

The ceremony marks the beginning of construction on the long-anticipated health care facility in Sandusky, with community members invited to attend the event at the future hospital location.

“This groundbreaking marks the start of an exciting new chapter for our community,” Steve Barnett, president and CEO of McKenzie Health System, said in a statement. “We are eager to take this important step forward together and celebrate what this new hospital will mean for health care in our region.”
