Hamilton Accies' takeover is currently on hold as the club has been hit by another financial demand from a creditor, Lanarkshire Live Sport can reveal.
Terms have been agreed with a consortium to pass the reins from current owner Seref Zengin, but the process has been slowed by a former director and sponsor of the club submitting a substantial invoice, which is now being dealt with by the club's legal team.
It comes after Accies were served with a winding-up order last month from Total Energies Gas and Power Limited . It is understood a fee of £75,000 has been settled by the club related to usage at their former stadium at New Douglas Park, of which they were tenants until May this year when they moved to Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld.
