The New York Mets are flipping over their roster like madmen as they try to prevent a complete October collapse.

Since Thursday, the Mets have made a staggering 11 roster moves, all involving pitchers. On Sunday, that included designating their third pitcher for assignment in the span of four days.

As left-hander Sean Manaea returned from the paternity list, the Mets DFA'd 10-year veteran righty Chris Devenski to create an opening on the active roster.

Devenski, 34, made 13 appearances for the Mets at the major league level this season, pitching to a 2.13 ERA in 16 2/3 innings. He pitched a scoreless inning on Friday in a 12-6 win over the Washington Nationals.
