TAMPA — Give the Jets credit for not laying down on Sunday afternoon. They could have phoned it in, down 17 in the fourth quarter, and they didn’t, taking the lead briefly before ultimately falling 29-27 on a field goal as time expired.

But here’s the thing: they don’t give credit for “fight” in the standings. It’s win, lose, or tie.
