Pulling off a major success police personnel in Churaibari arrested two drug peddlers and seized 50 thousand ‘Yaba’ tablets worth at least Rs 2.5 crores in the black market. Police sources said that acting on a tip-off a police team headed by the officer in charge of Churaibari police station Pranab Mili laid in wait at the entry into Tripura from Assam . Around 12-30 in the afternoon the police party stopped a vehicle numbered MZ 01 AA 4524 and conducted a search operation and found at least 50 thousand addictive ‘Yaba’ tablets in it . The police also arrested two peddlers Raju Uddin of Ratabari and Dilwar Hossain of Patharkandi . In the initial interrogation the peddlers confessed that they had purchased the stock from Mizoram and were proceeding into Tripura for sale to another smuggler
