CHENNAI: Vande Bharat trains have revolutionised rail transport in India to an elite level, which was beyond imagination a few years back. The country's first Vande Bharat service was launched on the New Delhi-Varanasi route on February 15, 2019. Entering its seventh year, Indian Railways has around 100 trains in the Vande Bharat seating category. Some reports are now suggesting that the Railways is considering completely stopping the production of Vande Bharat seating trains.
The 20-rake Vande Bharat train, which arrived in Kerala earlier this month, is the 90th in the nation. Vande Bharat trains are currently operating, connecting all major cities in India.
