Family questions BSO's response after man fatally shot by Broward deputy during alleged mental health crisis

A Broward County family is grieving and demanding answers after a deadly confrontation late Sunday afternoon.

That confrontation ended with deputies fatally shooting a loved one in the Franklin Park neighborhood near Sunrise Boulevard.

The encounter was live streamed by Dolison's relative, Shakira McFadden, who says he had a history of drug abuse and mental health issues. McFadden said Dolison had been using drugs for two days before the confrontation with the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO).

She added that family members had considered seeking a mental health evaluation for Dolison on Saturday but "it never happened."
