A motorcyclist who was almost killed by a distracted driver has had an emotional reunion with the paramedics who saved his life three and a half years ago.

David Francis broke 95 bones and died on the way to hospital, only to be revived by three women who are now his heroes.

The grateful patient returned to thank the paramedics who saved his life after a motorist almost killed him in suburban Melbourne at Beaconsfield on the Old Princes Freeway.

“The car was coming across and then I woke up about four weeks later in the Alfred,” Francis said.

Paramedics found him under a guardrail with almost half the bones in his body broken. He was slipping away.
