LAKE CITY — The Missaukee Conservation District will host its Renewable Roots Retreat 2025 on Nov. 6 at Timber Wolf Lake Camp, offering hands-on lessons in sustainable living and conservation.
According to a Sept. 22 news release, the day-long retreat runs from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and features experts in lake restoration, regenerative agriculture and Indigenous ecological practices.
Dr. Jennifer L. Jermalowicz-Jones of Restorative Lake Sciences will share the latest in lake restoration strategies, while educators from the Ziibiwing Center and the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians will present traditional ecological knowledge.
