A major retailer has announced the sudden closure of a Scots branch after six years of trading. Following the news, the firm has announced a "biggest ever" closing down sale. ‌

The Designer Rooms announced on social media that it will be permanently shuttering its branch based in Glasgow's Silverburn Shopping Centre at the end of the year when its lease agreement closes. ‌

First opened in 2019, the branch is the flagship location for the luxury homeware store that specialises in designer home furnishings and accessories such as sofas, home décor items, chests of drawers and bed frames. ‌
